I make art to remind people why every day is a miracle. I make art to share my awe of life and how unbelievably magical it is. I make art to show you my dreams. I make art for you to fall in love with. It is singing to you. I make art because it makes me happy and because it makes you smarter. And sexier. I make art because I want more people to make art. I make art for you to meditate with and blow kisses to. I make art that makes you stop for one moment out of your very busy and important day and take one deep breath that refreshes your point of view. I make art and it's winking at you right now and wants you to take it home with you. --- RAZ

"It is rare, but beautiful, the times when the sun can be seen to shine brightly overhead at the same time that a slight drizzle is precipitated, perfectly completing photosynthetic cycle. And just like yin is driven to complete yang, this same principle drives the dichotomy behind Rachel Znerold and her artwork. Initially pursuing a career in medicine, spurred largely by her altruistic and healing nature, Rachel instead found in art an explosive and new way to help people see through her eyes. And yes, although the girl has style, to describe her work as merely eclectic would be limiting. Like Picasso asserted, "I am basically a painter without style, you see me here and I΄m already changed, I΄m already elsewhere," so too does Rachel abscond herself of any particular form, function, or medium. She might be wearing her sneakers, personally scrawled with graffiti manifesto, creating a larger-than-life mural, or perhaps introducing the magnificent young women who now proudly don her clothing designs. Either way, it seems apparent that not much has really changed in that little girl who first held red chalk to concrete sidewalk. To say that a good vibe or a chill nature is important in her work would be to inadvertently ingest her philosophy. For she is always an artist, with or without a canvas, and her best pieces are often the smiles left on the faces of those she knows, loves, or has even just met. And if you haven΄t yet had the pleasure, you΄re probably next. So cheers to kindness, creativity, and the beauty in her ability to fuse them all together into life and art."
